Shore Sports Zone’s 2015 Mister Hoop Zone is set to sign a national letter of intent Thursday to play Ivy League basketball at Dartmouth

Rumson-Fair Haven’s Brendan Barry has found his college basketball home.  The Bulldogs all-time leading scorer announced on Thursday that he will sign his national letter of intent and the choice is Dartmouth.  Barry confirmed his choice via Twitter on Tuesday night:

Barry won Shore Sports Zone’s Mister Hoop Zone in 2015 helping RFH win the Shore Conference championship in his junior year.  He started his senior season with a broken bone in his left hand, but recovered quickly to become the Bulldogs all-time leading scorer.  He finished his high school career with 1812 points and 277 three pointers.

On Monday, Dartmouth hired former Northeastern associate head coach David McLaughlin as its new head men’s basketball coach.  The Big Green was 10-18 last season, finishing sixth in the eight team Ivy League.  Dartmouth has not won an Ivy League title since 1959.
