When Nunzio Campanile left Bergen Catholic to join Chris Ash’s staff at Rutgers, the Crusaders kept things in the family when it came to his replacement. Vito Campanile, Nunzio’s brother, moves to Oradell from Seton Hall Prep and quickly settled in with his new team. Bergen Catholic is ranked #13 in the USA Today Preseason Top 25 and opens its slate with two out of state opponents beginning with 5th ranked Grayson in Georgia on August 31. Andrew Boel steps in at quarterback for the graduated Johnny Langan and has a wide array of playmakers around him including one of the best running back tandems in the country in Josh McKenzie (Yale) and Rahmir Johnson (Nebraska). The defense is headlined by two of the nation’s top recruits – senior DE Aeneas DiCosmo (Michigan, Stanford, Notre Dame, Clemson, Northwestern) and junior safety Jordan Morant (13 D1 offers).
