Immaculata (5-2) and West Morris Central (5-2) combined for *870 yards* of offense on Friday night and 60 points in the first half alone, but the Spartans’ halftime defensive adjustments were key as they hung on for a 46-38 win.
That 60-point half closed out with some incredible fireworks. With 1:30 left, WMC’s Julian Healy returned a kickoff back 99 yards for a touchdown, and the 2-point conversion made it 30-22 Wolfpack. Then, Immaculata answered as junior QB Jaime Marin threw a 50-yard touchdown pass to Quinn Hayden, and their 2-point conversion tied it at 30 into half. Marin then threw two touchdowns in the third quarter as they held WMC scoreless. The Wolfpack’s Brody Mansolino scored a rushing touchdown with 4:00 remaining and they would get the ball back, but Carsen Perot scooped up a fumble to clinch the game.
Marin went 22/26 for 259 passing yards and four touchdowns in the game, two of which were to Hayden who finished with 135 receiving yards. West Morris junior RB Deacon Frayne was their star on offense, rushing for 243 yards and two touchdowns.
