No. 3 Pingry boys soccer defeated Bridgewater-Raritan 1-0 on Tuesday, extending the Big Blue’s unbeaten start to 9-0 and marking their 7th shutout thus far. The lone goal came in the 65th minute when junior Julian Lopez scored his 17th of the year off a Colton Gedroic assist from an Andrew Marturano free kick. The Big Blue defense was stingy for all 80 minutes, allowing just three shots on goal for Ryan Miller.

Down 2-0 with 23 minutes left in the game, Michael Marinello found the back of the net twice in less than a minute before Vince Minerva gave the Redbirds the lead in the 71st minute. Allentown (6-1) picked up a Colonial Division win over Lawrence (5-3-1) for its third straight victory.

Paul VI 3 Cherokee 2 | Girls
The fifth-ranked Eagles fended off a late charge from the Chiefs to pick up their second-straight win in a cross-division matchup in the Olympic Conference. William & Mary commit Hunter Kintzing’s goal in the 72nd minute proved to be the difference in the victory. Cami Koerner and Stevie Ormsby added goals for Paul VI (6-1). Sydney Freedman and Maddie Conklin scored in the loss for reigning SJ Group 4 champion Cherokee (3-5).
