Holmdel 12 Montville 7 | Boys | North Jersey Group 2 Quarterfinal
Jack Cannon had three goals and six assists in what is likely his final home game to lead the Hornets into the section semifinals and a matchup at second seed Sparta. Cannon, who had over 9,000 yards and 118 touchdowns in his football career, has been the catalyst for the Hornets lacrosse offense with a pass first mentality. Cannon has 23 goals and 62 assists this season. David Perrotti had a hat trick for Holmdel who is now 16-5 on the season. Nick Violante had four goals for Montville, who finished the season with a 14-6 record.

Scotch Plains-Fanwood 16 Northern Highlands 6 | Boys | North Jersey Group 3 Quarterfinal
No. 8/3-seed Scotch Plains-Fanwood continued to make their case in a crowded North Group 3 bracket on Monday with a 16-6 victory over 6-seed Northern Highlands. Four Raiders scored 3+ goals on the day with Nick Homer and Brian Kloepfer scoring four goals and Ryan Scarpa finishing with a hat trick. With his performance, which included one assist, Homer eclipsed the 100 point mark on his junior season (66 G, 37 A). Goalie Matt Krantz also had nine saves in net. Ethan Suh led the Highlanders in scoring with two goals. SP-F will now face No. 2/2-seed Summit on Thursday in the North Group 3 semifinals.

Kingsway 15 Monroe 6 | Boys | South Jersey Group 4 Quarterfinal
The defending SJ Group 4 champion Dragons started fast and closed strong to knock off the Falcons in the sectional quarterfinals. Roman Woratyla, Quinn Winters, and Wyatt McLaughlin went for hat tricks to lead a balanced attack in the victory. Hobart commit Patrick Civitarese added two goals and four assists for second-seeded Kingsway (14-4). Jake Evanchik netted a pair of goals in the loss for seventh-seeded Monroe (15-6). Kingsway will host Washington Township in the SJ Group 4 semifinals on Thursday.

Washington Twp. 16 Manalapan 3 | Boys | South Jersey Group 4 Quarterfinal
Anytime the cameras are rolling on Tom Brown Field, Parker Reese makes sure to give us some highlight-worthy plays. Reese added four goals in the Minutemen’s win over sixth-seeded Manalapan (11-8). Robbie Finnegan led the game with five scores, while Trey Egan recorded a hat trick in the third quarter. Washington Twp. (17-3) advances to the SJG4 semifinals for a third and final matchup with second-seeded Kingsway.
