Passaic Tech’s Mickey Gilligan has incredible offensive statistics in his senior season, but MLB scouts are flocking to Wayne to see an arm behind the plate that has been timed not only the best in the 2026 MLB Draft class but at the top of Major League Baseball. In PCTI’s 11-1 win over Union City, we saw Gilligan throw out a runner in the first inning with a pop time (glove to glove on a stolen base attempt) of 1.77 seconds. The MLB average is two seconds. With a .618 batting average with 12 homers and 43 RBI’s, Gilligan has helped lead the Bulldogs to a 27-2 record.
