Basketball Shot Clock is Coming
New Jersey athletic directors narrowly vote for the shot clock in boys and girls varsity basketball. With a 170-166 vote, a :35 second shot clock will debut in NJ basketball for the 2027-28 season.
Lacrosse Will Not Be Getting a Shot Clock
New Jersey athletic directors voted against implementing a shot clock in varsity lacrosse. With a 166-149-21 tally, the measure will not be implemented.
Girls Flag Football: Official NJ Varsity Sport
After 311 of 332 votes went in favor, starting in 2027 the growing sport will become an official varsity sport in the New Jersey high school scene.
