Richmond commit Dante Matarese belted a pair of home runs and finished with three RBIs to help the Crusaders score the 800th career victory in the storied coaching career of Sam Tropiano. Tropiano, South Jersey’s all-time wins leader, becomes the fourth head coach in NJ history to reach the milestone. He joins Ken Frank (Toms River South), Mike Sheppard Jr. (West Orange/Seton Hall Prep), and Marty Kenney Sr. (CBA) as members of this elite coaching fraternity. Fordham commit Max Sullivan homered and finished with two RBIs in the victory for Bishop Eustace (9-3). Delaware commit Tim Dougherty picked up his 100th career strikeout for Shawnee (6-4).
