Kingsway 4 Eastern 2 | South Jersey Group 4 Quarterfinal
St. Joseph’s University commit Karlie Mertz scored a pair of goals in the second half as the Dragons fended off the Vikings to continue their quest for a third-straight Group 4 state championship. Fellow St. Joseph’s University commit Isabella Sanchez netted her team-leading 19th goal, while Reese Samra added her second goal of the year for second-seeded Kingsway (12-7). Christiane Johnson and Juliana Beirao scored in the loss for seventh-seeded Eastern (12-7-1). The Dragons will take on sixth-seeded Cherokee in the sectional semifinals on Monday.

Shore Regional 11 Salem 0 | South Jersey Group 1 Quarterfinal
Four different Blue Devils had a pair of goals in a second straight dominant performance in the state playoffs. Shore has outscored its two opponents 21-0 thus far. Marielle Montenegro scored two to reach the 38-goal mark, Scarlett Watson and Marin Stefanelli had a pair of goals and Gabby O’Brien rounded out the two goal brigade getting her 50th career goal. Shore will host Haddon Heights this Monday in the section semifinals.
