Madison McDougall struck out a career-high 20 batters and Gabby Gonzalez’s leadoff double in the ninth inning set the table for her to score the only run of the game on an errant throw to centerfield and give the Lancers a spot in the Shore Conference finals against Donovan Catholic on Tuesday at Red Bank Catholic. McDougall struck out 13 batters in a row after a leadoff RBI single in the top of the 1st and was able to get out of a bases loaded jam in the top of the 7th with her 16th strikeout of the game. McDougall allowed just two hits and walked two in her nine inning shutout.
