Randolph 9 Delbarton 5
The Rams are running roughshod through some of the top teams in the state to start the new season and their latest victim was the preseason No. 1 ranked team. Randolph (3-0) made a major statement Monday thanks to Rocco Albano’s contributions, along with many others. Albano blasted a go-ahead three-run double in the third inning giving the Rams a lead they wouldn’t give up. Albano pitched the final 2.1 innings of the game and helped come up with a few big stops, most notably a strikeout for the final out. Miami commit James Kleiven tossed 4.2 innings and walked five and struck out five. Mason Wilson, Jackson Magley, AJ Terry and Chase Lorent all logged RBI’s in the win. Delbarton (2-1) had a three-run first inning but had trouble generating offense until the final inning.

Red Bank Regional 10 Ranney 7
The Bucs rallied for seven runs in the sixth inning all with two outs to score one of the program’s biggest wins in recent memory. Jake Pouso broke a 6-6 tie with a two run single as part of the rally and Hoyt Smith had four RBI’s including a three-run homer in the bottom of the first. Tommy Ruth got the final out for the save as Timmy Kelly made a diving catch with the bases loaded to preserve the win.

Delsea 10 Williamstown 0 (6 Innings)
The Crusaders continued their red-hot start to the season as they raced past the Braves for their third-straight victory. Cole Hudson had a big day at the plate, hitting a solo home run and driving in three runs in the victory. Tyler Schoppe belted his third home run in the season for Delsea (3-0). Seton Hall commit Frank Cairone turned in a dominant effort on the mound, pitching five shutout innings with 11 strikeouts.
