Former Wall baseball standout Dan Wondrack had a memorable first home run in college – a grand slam for the College of Charleston.  Watch the blast and see the interview from South Carolina

The last time we saw Dan Wondrack, he was launching long balls all over the Lakewood Blue Claws stadium in a home run derby.  Wondrack is now at the College of Charleston and the freshman is serving as the Cougars backup catcher.  In the second game of a doubleheader against the University of Delaware, Wondrack blasted a 7th inning grand slam to help the C of C top the Blue Hens 15-2.  It was Wondrack’s second hit of his college career.  The College of Charleston is 17-7 on the season and have three wins against teams ranked in the Top 25.

Thanks to Scott Eisberg of WCIV-TV in Charleston for getting us an interview with Dan and the Charleston Sports Network for providing video of the grand slam.
