Gavin Gulash had two goals and three assists and Ryan D’Emilia added a pair of goals to give the Eagles a bounce back win against RFH. After their 10 game win streak was halted by Wall earlier this week, the Eagles responded with an impressive win. Dan Berkowitz closed the first period with a shorthanded goal with just two seconds remaining to give Middletown South a 3-1 lead at the end of one. Gulash scored both of his goals in the third period as Clay Simonsen had 28 saves in the win. Watch the highlights from Middletown Ice World:
Middletown North 4 Saint Rose 2
The Lions are on a four game unbeaten streak after holding off a Purple Roses third period surge. Middletown North held a 3-0 lead at the end of two periods before Saint Rose scored a pair of goals in the first five minutes of the third period, but Kyle Goworak was able to put the game away with an empty net goal.
