Hunterdon Central 1 Bridgewater-Raritan 1 (2OT) | Boys
The Skyland Conference’s Delaware division is loaded with talent this fall and a key early season showdown showed us why. The Panthers and Red Devils battled for 100 minutes but a winner wasn’t decided in regulation nor a pair of overtime periods. Conor Rosander’s first half goal gave Bridgewater-Raritan (2-1-1) the initial lead but Hunterdon Central (2-0-1) tied the match early in the second half with a goal from Colby Townsend. Three keepers (Chase Reinhard, Peter Caterinicchia and Michael Battista) all played well. These teams will meet again on Sept. 27th.

Timber Creek 2 Mainland 0 | Boys
The Chargers jumped out to an early lead, then leaned on their defense the rest of the way to score a quality victory against the Mustangs in a rematch from last year’s postseason. Jackson Nasuti racked up ten saves to pick up the clean sheet in net. Jack Feinberg and Ezekiel McWilliams both scored their first goals of the season in the win for Timber Creek (3-0). Brandon Dionicio had four saves in the loss for Mainland (2-1).

Ocean Township 4 Jackson Township 0 | Boys | Shore Conference Group 5
Brandon Cosentino scored a pair of goals to reach seven on the season and Connor Shaw assisted on three of the Spartan’s four goals. Ocean improves to 4-0 with four goals scored in each game to set a 16-2 margin in the early part of the season. The Spartans pick up a win in Group 5 action featuring Holmdel, Raritan and Ranney along with Ocean and Jackson. The top three finishers get spots in the Shore Conference Tournament knockout round.
