The Morris Knolls (27-5) shortstop smashed his 18th home run of the season, tying a single-season state record held by baseball great Mike Trout and former Ramsey slugger Ashton Bardzell. Dickerson’s two-run bomb came on the first pitch after a half-hour rain delay in an all-Morris County rivalry game in the semifinals against Randolph (21-10).
