JSZ hits the diamond for another great day of high school baseball! Delsea’s Frank Cairone makes his highly-anticipated 2025 debut against Highland. Plus, CBA and Ranney collide in a fantastic Shore Conference battle. Check back as the highlights are posted throughout the night!

Ryan Wetmore had two hits and three RBI’s highlighted by a two-run homer in the top of the seventh to seal the Colts second straight win over Ranney. CBA (3-0) scored four in the first on two bases loaded walks, a hit by pitch and an RBI infield single by Wetmore. Ranney (0-2) got a two run homer by highly regarded sophomore prospect Ricky Lopez for his first high school homer in the third and added one in the 6th before Wetmore gave the Colts some key insurance runs. Jack Dufficy pitched five strong innings striking out six for the win and Dan Pardini pitched the final two frames for the save.

Coastal Carolina commit Frank Cairone, Kyle Harrison, and RCSJ commit Otley Makosky tossed a combined no-hitter as the Crusaders picked up their second win of the season. Cairone tossed three shutout innings, allowing no hits and three walks with ten strikeouts in a stellar debut in front of a dozen MLB scouts. Cole Hudson’s two-run home run proved to be the difference in the win for Delsea (2-0). Nate Dougherty tossed two and two-thirds innings, allowing one hit and no runs with three strikeouts in relief for Highland (2-1).
