South Jersey baseball takes centerstage on Wednesday as JSZ hits the diamond for a pair of matchups. Northern Burlington looks to stay unbeaten in a non-conference clash with Lawrence. Sterling 8 Collingswood 7 | Camden County Tournament Semifinal
The Silver Knights raced out to a 5-0 lead in the first, but needed to hang on late to punch their ticket to the Camden County Tournament final. Rutgers-Camden commit Anthony Gogolsky and Gavin McCormick drove in a pair of runs to pace the Silver Knight offense. Aidan Gates shut the door with a two-out save for Sterling (7-1). Jairo Mendoza was a one-man wrecking crew for Collingswood (2-4), as he smashed a pair of home runs and finished with 6 RBIs in the loss.

The Greyhounds got out to an early 3-0 lead powered by a lead-off solo HR from St. Peter’s commit Nick Drombroski. The junior finished with a game and season-high 2 home runs. On the other side of the ball, Rutgers-New Brunswick commit Cole Marchetti had a career day with 5 innings pitched, 2 hits, 0 runs, and 14 strikeouts. Northern Burlington (9-0) remains undefeated and ends Lawrence’s (7-3) four-game win streak. The Greyhounds have won their last four games by a combined 40-0.
