JSZ turns the calendar to April as we hit the diamond for a pair of great matchups in high school baseball. Top-ten teams collide as Don Bosco Prep squares off with Ramapo. Plus, Toms River East looks to bounce back against Brick Memorial in our ACI Medical & Dental School Game of the Week. Check back as the highlights are posted throughout the night!

No. 4 Don Bosco Prep baseball picked up their first true statement win of the year on Wednesday, defeating No. 10 Ramapo 7-0 to move to 2-0.
The biggest story of the day was the Ironman’s pitching. In his first varsity start, sophomore Cristian Matos pitched 5.2 scoreless innings with five hits allowed and three strikeouts. Senior reliever Thomas Collins then finished the game out with no hits and four strikeouts. On the bats, the Ironmen were led by Mississippi State commit Michael Hanna who went 3-4 with two RBIs. Junzen Sarza also had two RBIs off of a 5th inning single.

Dominik Sabatino drove in the tying run in the sixth to spark a three run inning from the Raiders as they came back to score a key divisional victory over the Mustangs. Chase Caswell knocked in a pair of runs, while Boston College commit Joey DiMeo picked up an RBI in the victory. Liam Scallon got the win on the mound, while Lucas Melton earned the save for Toms River East (1-1). Fairleigh Dickinson commit Dan Golembiewski hit a solo home run in the loss for Brick Memorial (1-1).
