The night came down to the final match at 113 pounds, and Ethan Staples delivered for the Renegades with a clutch pin in the third period to win it. Jake Hastings, Chris Ahrens, Matt Quinn and Jay Stokes also won by fall for Shawnee (17-1). Chase Casey, Jurius Clark, Martin Cosgrove and Jonathan Graham all pinned for the Irish (7-2) in the loss.

Rumson-Fair Haven 38 Red Bank Catholic 27

Freshman Orson de Carvalho scored a dramatic pin at 150 pounds while trailing 13-5 in the third period to score his first varsity win and give RFH a 22-21 lead on the way to a big dual win against their rival. RBC opened the match with three straight wins to take a 15-0 lead before RFH mounted its comeback. When RFH forfeited to RBC All-American Sabino Portella at 175 pounds, RFH state medalist Shay Addison bumped up to 190 pounds and clinched the match with a first-period pinfall.
