The basketball season continues to heat up! We have highlights from games all over the state!


Delsea 73 Highland 71 (OT) | Boys

The Crusaders trailed by 17 points with five minutes left in the fourth, but stormed all the way back to beat the Tartans in overtime. Sadique Powell poured in a game-high 28 points in the victory. Jimmy Reilly played an outstanding floor game, finishing with 10 points, eight rebounds and eight assists for Delsea (5-4). Ian Harvey scored a team-high 24 points for Highland (6-3) in the loss.

Morris Catholic 54 Sparta 51 | Girls

Tyonna Bailey converted a vital three-point play with under 20 seconds left in regulation that helped lift Morris Catholic to its biggest win of 2021 in a stunning win over Sparta. Bailey, the sophomore, led all Crusaders scorers with 19 points in the win. Sparta was led by Brynn McCurry’s 23 points in the loss.

Gloucester Catholic 75 Pitman 48 | Boys

The Rams (7-1) tamed the Panthers (1-7) to pick up their fifth-straight win as we enter the second half of the regular season. Ryan Roney paced the Rams, scoring a game-high 22 points on the night. Lukas DeLoach scored a team-high 16 points in the loss.

Robbinsville 60 Hopewell Valley 30 | Girls

Robbinsville (7-1) picked up its fifth straight win with a victory over Colonial Valley Conference rival Hopewell Valley (3-5). Following a five point lead to end the first quarter, the Ravens quickly pulled away to make the deficit 14 by the fourth. Allie Neumann finished the evening with 25 points.
