With sectional playoffs looming, JSZ hits the mats for two regular season showdowns! Don Bosco Prep and St. John Vianney battle in a close one, while Washington Township hosts Haddonfield in their final regular season home dual. Stay tuned as the highlights roll in!


Don Bosco Prep 38 St. John Vianney 33

Freshman Carlito Bonita stepped in at 190 pounds to deliver a pin to tie the match 21-21 and allowed the Ironmen to bump up Division I commits Nevin Mattesich and Dante DeLuca as part of four straight wins and fellow freshman Vincent Iaquinto clinched the match with a pin at 113 pounds to give the Ironmen a road victory. St. John Vianney and Don Bosco Prep will face off this Tuesday in the Non-Public “A” state playoffs.  The Lancers had a 21-9 lead after back to back victories by Abraham Adu-Amoako and Ryan Gavrish before #1 ranked 175 pounder Santino Rodriguez started the run of Bosco wins with a pin.

Washington Twp. 47 Haddonfield 21

In their final regular-season home dual, Washington Township (16-5) jumped out to a 27-0 lead over Haddonfield (16-7) and never looked back. The Minutemen secured four pins, including one in the first bout from Frank Albright at 105 pounds and another in the final bout from Gunner McFall. Washington Township now has one more regular-season meet before the Group 5 playoffs kick off on Monday.
