JSZ keeps rolling into the holiday season with four hockey games from a jam-packed Wednesday slate, spotlighted by a top-ten showdown between Delbarton and Seton Hall Prep. Check back as the highlights are posted throughout the night!


Delbarton 5 Seton Hall Prep 0

The Green Wave five goals from five different players to take out their rivals in a conference win. Thomas Giroux, Ayden Puppe, Michael Pirot, Egor Andreev and Aidan Pasic all lit the lamp Wednesday night to fuel a one-sided Delbarton (5-0-1) win. Paul Insauto made 13 saves to secure the shutout in the victory. Seton Hall Prep (2-3) has a week off before taking on Morristown-Beard next.

Ridgewood 5 Wayne 3

Down 3-2 in the third period, the Maroons erupted for three unanswered goals to secure the win. Penn State lacrosse commit AJ LoSauro and Sam Sherman each scored twice, with LoSauro netting the go-ahead goal and Sherman capping off the scoring late in the game. Ridgewood (4-1) has now won seven straight against Wayne (3-2) and is averaging more than five goals per game this season.

Scotch Plains-Fanwood 3 Oratory Prep 1 | Essex Holiday Tournament

Raiders’ goalie Lorenzo Tittanegro delivered a season-high 34 saves to hand the Rams their first loss of the season in tournament play. Tittanegro, a senior, was reliable in net all night and his action between the pipes gave Scotch Plains-Fanwood (4-0) a major boost defensively. Charles Sacchetti scored two goals – one shorthanded – to led the offensive attack for SPF. Oratory Prep (4-2) got their lone goal from a Jeff Child powerplay in the second period.

Don Bosco Prep 9 Gloucester Catholic 2

The Ironmen scored early and often as they handled business in South Jersey to pick up their third-straight win. Preston Ferro and Chris Conklin each netted a pair of goals to lead the way in the victory. Seven different Ironmen scored goals for Don Bosco Prep (4-1). Afansil Kislykh and Roman Motskin scored goals in the loss for Gloucester Catholic (1-4).
