We’ve reached the state semifinals in boys soccer and JSZ had cameras all over the Garden State as teams punched their tickets to the state finals. Check back throughout the night as the highlights are posted!
Garfield 3 Summit 2 (OT) | Boys | Group 3 State Semifinal
Martin Czovek had ice in his veins when he stepped up to take an 84th minute penalty kick. Czovek, a junior, buried a golden goal PK to lift Garfield (19-1) past Summit (12-7-3) to earn their spot in the Group 3 state championship game. The Hilltoppers were red hot in the first half and led 2-0 at the break, but the Boilermakers came alive in the second half to tie the game and force OT. Garfield will face Robbinsville in the Group 3 state final on Saturday.

Robbinsville 2 Clearview 1 | Boys Group 3 State Semifinal
Reigning Group 3 Champions, Robbinsville advanced to their second consecutive State Final following a 2-1 victory over Clearview. A penalty kick from senior Bora Turker in the opening four minutes of play gave Robbinsville an early 1-0 lead, Seamus Watson answered back with a goal in the 27th minute to tie the game at 1-1 heading into halftime. Bora Turker added another goal in the opening six minutes of the second half for the go-ahead and eventual game-winning score. The Ravens advance to face Garfield.

Princeton 4 Washington Twp. 0 | Boys | Group 4 State Semifinal
The Little Tigers erupted in the second half as they continue their quest to win their first state championship since 2012. Rochester commit Pasquale Carusone netted a pair of goals to lead the way for Central champion Princeton (21-2). Felipe Matar Grandi and Chase Hamerschlag also scored goals in the victory. Pete Louvaris collected four saves in the loss for South champion Washington Twp. (18-2-2). Princeton will face Kearny for the Group 4 state title on Saturday.

Delran 4 Holmdel 2 | Boys | Group 2 State Semifinal
Drew Roskos scored a first half hat trick to continue his mastery in the post-season as the Bears return to the Group 2 state championship looking to defend its 2022 state crown. Holmdel took a 1-0 lead on a goal by Stepan Kapranov before Roskos scored a pair of goals in the span of 3:17 to give Delran a 2-1 lead. Roskos headed in a corner to give him a hat trick and eight career goals in the state semifinals. In all, the senior has 22 goals in November. Kapranov had a pair of goals to finish his junior season with 21 goals. Delran will face Ramsey in the Group 2 final.

Shore Regional 2 Palmyra 0 | Boys | Group 1 State Semifinal
Cooper Attaway’s goal in the 62nd minute broke a scoreless tie and fellow sophomore Santino Scarponi sealed the victory on a 28-yard free kick in the 74th as Shore heads to a boys soccer state final for the first time since 1970. Shore will take on Brearley on Saturday at Franklin High School for the title.
