St. Benedict’s Prep 2 Pennington 0 | Boys | Prep A Final

Martin Pulgarin’s rocket right foot shot in the 76th minute proved to be the insurance goal that the Gray Bees needed in their quest to capture the Prep A state championship. St. Benedict’s Prep (17-0) completes one of the best seasons in program history with the win. The Gray Bees will finish the year as the unquestioned No. 1 ranked team in the country after taking down perennial prep foe Pennington in the final. Lewis Campbell also scored a goal for St. Benedict’s Prep in the win.

Pennington 4 Oak Knoll 0 | Girls | Prep A Final

Pennington finished the year undefeated at 17-0-1 to claim the program’s 16th Prep A Championship since 2003. The Red Hawks went ahead 1-0 at halftime on a goal from junior Morgan Kotch. Meg Balerna, Laney Kieth and Hailey Adamsky added scores in the second half as Kotch ends the season with 40 goals, eclipsing the previous school single season record of 34.

West Orange 1 Kearny 0 | Boys | North 1 Group 4 Semifinal

Jack Dvorak’s goal in the 61st minute was the deciding factor in a game featuring two state powers.  West Orange avenged a loss that ended their season last year in the state playoffs while ending Kearny’s 36-match unbeaten streak handing the Kardinals their only loss of the season.  West Orange will face top seed Clifton on Saturday for the North 1 Group 4 championship.

Seton Hall Prep 1 Don Bosco Prep 0 (OT) | Boys | North Non-Public “A” Quarterfinal

Karan Chauhan scored in the 81st minute to give Seton Hall Prep a dramatic overtime victory and avoid an upset.  The top-seeded Pirates will face #4 Dwight Englewood on Saturday in the sectional semifinals.

Cherry Hill West 3 Hammonton 1 | Boys | South Group 3 Semifinal

The third-seeded Lions are the defending South Jersey Group 3 champs, and they’re heading back to the final after a convincing win over the second-seeded Blue Devils. Ryan McHugh, Jack Young and Joe Conte all scored goals in the win for West (13-4-1). Gavin West scored a late goal in the loss for Hammonton (13-7-3). The Lions will face top-seeded Shawnee for the title on Saturday.

Delran 2 Cinnaminson 0 | Boys | South Group 2 Semifinal

The defending Group 2 state champion Bears booked a return trip to the sectional finals by blanking the second-seeded Pirates in the latest chapter of this South Jersey rivalry. Drew Roskos opened the scoring with his 21st goal of the season and added an assist for Delran (11-3-5). Gabe Moura netted his third goal of the season in the victory. Cinnaminson finished a great season with a record of (13-4-2). The Bears will host eighth-seeded Sterling for the South Group 2 title on Saturday.
