Sectional championships are being handed out across the state Wednesday and our team has a pair of games from North and South Jersey. Camden Catholic proves they’re the best of the best in the Garden State again while red-hot Montclair douses Phillipsburg’s cinderella run!

Montclair 5 Phillipsburg 1 | North Group 4 Sectional Final

Eliza Larson came through with three goals to pace the Mounties’ in their first sectional championship win since the 2015 season. Larson scored twice in the first quarter and then once again in the final quarter to ice the win for top-seeded Montclair (20-3). Tenth-seeded Phillipsburg (11-13-1) put together an amazing run in the state tournament and proved tough in their run to the final – Jackie Miller had the lone goal for the Stateliners in the loss. Montclair will face either Kingsway or Southern Regional in the Group 4 final this weekend.
