Pingry 5 Hunterdon Central 4 | Boys

No. 9 Pingry (3-0) remains unbeaten on the year following a 5-4 win over No. 4 Hunterdon Central (4-1). Central would take a 2-1 lead to end the first half, but it would be Pingry who would go ahead 3-2,  11 minutes into the second on goals from Thomas Yanez and Anthony Bugliari. Six goals would be scored in the second half as Big Blue held on for the win. Anthony Bugliari scored twice for Pingry.

Scotch Plains-Fanwood 4 Delran 0 | Boys

A pair of two-point games from both Aaron Casterlow and Darren Edelman helped lift the Raiders to a huge early season win over the Bears. Scotch Plains-Fanwood (4-1) led by a goal at intermission but exploded in the second half and never looked back. Casterlow and Edelman each scored after halftime, while Timothy Ennis and Jayvon Young accounted for the other two goals. Delran (3-3), the two-time reigning Group 2 state champions, suffered its second shutout of the season in the loss.

Middletown North 2 Manalapan 0 | Boys

Josiah Stepney scored a pair of second half goals to give the Lions a third straight win and their first triumph over their “A” North rival in six years.  Stepney took a gorgeous left foot long pass from Cam DelGrosso in the 44th minute to get the Lions on the board and added one more in the 73rd minute.  Landon Terrell had eight saves in net for North to earn the shutout.

Lower Cape May 5 Holy Spirit 2 | Girls

Sianna King turned in a lights-out performance for the Caper Tigers on Tuesday, netting a career-high five goals to lead Lower to its first win against the Spartans since 2018. Meredith Lutjen racked up eight saves in the victory for Lower Cape May (5-1). Ella Petrosh scored a pair of goals in the loss for Holy Spirit (4-1).
