The early-week showdowns continue as we span the state! Pingry and CBA headline the day in a sectional final rematch from last season. St. Augustine stays hot and improves to 3-0 while Middletown North and Colts Neck both pick up wins, too. Watch all the highlights as they come in!


Pingry 5 CBA 0 | Boys

In 2023, Pingry and CBA clashed in a double overtime battle for the Non-Public “A” South Final, the Colts scored the golden goal to best the Big Blue. Flash forward to 2024, Pingry came hungry for a win against CBA and they got to work starting in the second minute and didn’t let up. Pingry went on to score five goals against CBA, which included two headers from Ryan Stern and two from Neil Riener. Pingry may be the number five ranked team in New Jersey, but this statement performance against number 13 ranked CBA may send a message that they will climb the ranks.

Middletown North 2 Allentown 1 | Boys

Josiah Stepney’s first half goal and Paulie Que’s second half strike were all the offense the Lions needed to win their second straight game. Que’s goal, specifically, was fantastic – Dolan Dunigan threaded a perfect pass for a key assist for Middletown North (2-1). Allentown (1-2) got a 15-save effort from keeper John Paul Navroski and a second half goal via Scott Jordan.

Colts Neck 2 Freehold Township 0 | Boys

Sean Moore scored a pair of first half goals to get Colts Neck to 3-0 on the young season.  The Cougars have outscored their opponents 10-0 in their three game win streak.  It’s Colts Neck’s first win on the pitch against Freehold Township since 2016.

St. Augustine 4 Hammonton 2 | Boys

The Hermits scored a key divisional win early in the season, using a balanced attack to knock off the Blue Devils on the road. Alex Clark netted his second goal of the season off a great feed from Fischer Brogan in the 69th minute to put things away for St. Augustine (3-0). Matt Mateja and Frankie Brown added goals in the victory. Braeden Cassidy and Matthew Smith netted goals in the loss for Hammonton (1-2).
