It’s tournament season on the diamond! JSZ has a no-hitter from the Saint Augustine Prep Hermits in the Diamond Classic plus CBA winning the Monmouth County Tournament at the home of the Phillies minor league affiliate in Lakewood.

Virginia commit Jayson Hoopes and Old Dominion commit Kenny Levari teamed up to pitch a no-hitter for the Hermits. Hoopes struck out eight in six innings of work, and Levari pitched out of a jam in the seventh inning to earn the save. Hoopes also had the key hit of the game, a two-out single to score two runs in the bottom of the sixth. CBA 8 Ocean 1 – Monmouth County Tournament Championship

Joe Escandon threw five perfect innings and finished with a complete game 2-hitter as the Colts won their ninth Monmouth County Tournament title. CBA scored three in the 3rd inning and put the game away with a four-run 6th. Braedin Hunt drove in three with a double and a triple to lead the attack.
