Milestones and championships are up for grabs Tuesday. Madilynn Boyce’s gem earns her a spot in New Jersey history while Jackson wins the Ocean County Tournament title in a nail biter. Stay tuned throughout the night as the highlights roll in!

Jackson Memorial 1 Pinelands 0 (9 Innings) | Ocean County Tournament Final

Dominique Lopez led the bottom of the ninth with a triple for the only extra base hit of the game and scored on the next play to give Jackson Memorial its second OCT in the last three years.  After Lopez hit the triple, Victoria Marconi hit a ball back to Pinelands pitcher Elianna Meola who check Lopez at third and threw to first for the out.  Lopez took off and forced a wide throw to score the only run of the game.  Jags pitcher Emily Hersh was outstanding with nine shutout innings scattering six hits and striking out eight.  Jackson Memorial will merge with Jackson Liberty next year to form one Jackson high school.  Winning one of the final titles in the school’s history made this one extra special for the Jags.
