Summer is right around the corner and that means postseason baseball in the Garden State! Jersey Sports Zone is pleased to bring you exciting statewide playoff action from the sectional semifinals. The highlights are posted from St. Augustine vs. Notre Dame (Non-Public A South), Wall vs. Hamilton West (Central Group 3) and Bordentown vs. Robbinsville (Central Group 2)!

(1) St. Augustine 9 (5) Notre Dame 5 – Non-Public A South Semifinal

The No. 7 Hermits raced out to a 7-0 lead in the first inning and held off the No. 3 Irish over the later innings. Rob Ready and Kyle Neri each finshed with two RBIs for St. Augustine. Kevin Foreman and Cole Vanderslice also drove in runs. The Hermits advance to their fourth straight sectional final, and will host either Christian Brothers Academy or St. Joseph (Metuchen) for the Non-Public A South title on Friday. (4) Wall 4 (1) Hamilton West 1 – Central Group 3 Semifinal

Trey Dombroski pitched a complete game 5-hitter striking out 11 and walking none to become Wall’s all-time leader in wins with 23. More importantly, the Crimson Knights are in the Central Jersey Group 3 final. The win is Wall’s 15th straight and for head coach Todd Schmitt it was career win #400. (6) Robbinsville 2 (7) Bordentown 1 – Central Group 2 Semifinal

It’s been a year to remember so far for Robbinsville. They’ve reached 18 wins for the first time since 2015 and are hot after reeling off three consecutive playoff wins against Spotswood, Manasquan and now Bordentown. Starter Tyler Lehmann went six innings and allowed one run, and Dan Frascella came in for the seventh to pitch a scoreless inning and secure the win. The Flock will play the winner of Wednesday’s game between Point Boro and Governor Livingston in the Central Group 2 title game. JSZ’s Jay Cook has the highlights from Robbinsville:
