Plenty of hardware was up for grabs on a busy Tuesday on the diamond around the Garden State. JSZ has highlights from the Monmouth County, Passaic County, Union County, CVC, and Cape-Atlantic League title games. Check back as the highlights are posted throughout the night!
Governor Livingston 5 Union Catholic 0 | Union County Tournament Final
Keith Mann and Anthony DeNora combined on a no-hitter and the Highlanders did all of their damage in the first inning to repeat as Union County champions. Northern Highlands opened the game with the first eight batters reaching base. Mike Basile had a two run double to start the scoring and DeNora added an RBI double followed by two hit batters to plate five runs. Union Catholic settled down from there making a number of great plays in the field. Mann pitched into the sixth inning before DeNora got the final four batters to complete the combined no-no. Governor Livingston is now 22-0 after its fifth UCT win in program history.
