St. Joe’s-Montvale 46 CBA 29 | Non-Public A Quarterfinal
Ryan Burton had a tech fall at 175 pounds to start four straight wins to close out the match and give the Green Knights a date with Saint Peter’s Prep in the Non-Public A state semifinals. St. Joe’s raced out to a 22-0 win with a pin, two tech falls and a forfeit before CBA’s Bobby Duffy pinned two time state champion Adrian DeJesus at 138 pounds in just 30 seconds. That shocking result gave the Colts some hope and CBA won four of five matches to get within 25-23 before SJR dominated in the upper weights.

St. John Vianney 38 Bergen Catholic 19 | Non-Public A Quarterfinal
Freshman John Markowski got a pin in just his third varsity match setting the table for Anthony Knox to score a tech fall at 126 pounds in his final home match to earn the Lancers a spot in the Non Public A state semifinals and a matchup with top 10 nationally ranked Delbarton. SJV won the Non Public B state title in 2024 and moved up to the A ranks and have spent the entire year ranked as a top five wrestling team in New Jersey.
