The Renegades held off the Irish in the second half in this battle between two of South Jersey’s top teams. Avery Kessler and Bryant commit Nia Scott scored 16 points apiece in the win, while Nicole Miller added 11 points for Shawnee (3-1). Quinnipiac commit Kassidy Thompson scored 17 points, while UMass commit Aaryn Battle added ten points for the Irish (1-3) in the loss.

St. Thomas Aquinas 67 South Brunswick 58 | Girls

St. Thomas Aquinas remains undefeated on the year (3-0) following a 67-58 victory over GMC Red Division foe South Brunswick (2-1) to hand the Vikings their first loss of the year. The Trojans jumped out to a comfortable lead early and controlled the pace throughout, going ahead by 14 to end the third quarter. Despite three buckets from beyond the arc in the fourth quarter from South Brunswick’s Katie Rausch, who led all scorers with 22 points, St. Thomas Aquinas would hold on for the win. Freshman Jordan Barnes finished with 16 points and six rebounds for the Trojans.

Paul VI 60 Cherokee 35 | Girls

The Eagles bounced back from a loss at the She Got Game Classic with a signature victory over the Lady Chiefs on Tuesday night. Notre Dame commit Hannah Hidalgo surpassed 1,500 career points, leading a balanced PVI attack with a game-high 21 points. Eva Andrews knocked down a trio of triples as the junior finished with 15 points for Paul VI (2-1). Thomas Jefferson commit Gabby Recinto scored a team-high eleven points in the loss for Cherokee (1-1).
