Caden Kirk scored a 4 on 3 power play goal in overtime as the Lions pull out the win in a game that had major late game dramatics. West Essex pulled the goalie in the final minute allowing Tyler Hill to tie the game 3-3 in overtime with just 33 seconds left in regulation. The Wolfpack (4-2) would get a penalty in OT resulting in the Lions man advantage. West Morris’ Ben Barnhill nearly had a shorthanded goal but Lions goalie John Gato made a sprawling pad save to keep the puck out of the net. Moments later, Kirk delivered the game winner for the 3-2 Lions.
