Pinelands 2 Lacey 1 (2OT) | Boys

Johnny Hart scored on a bending free kick with two minutes left in double overtime to lift the Wildcats over the Lions in a pivotal Shore Conference B-South battle. Hart also converted a penalty kick in regulation for Pinelands. D.J. Edinger scored off a set piece for Lacey Township in the loss.

Middletown North 2 Middletown South 1 | Boys

Aidan Cardella scored two second half goals to give the Lions their first win over their crosstown rival in four years. Middletown South took a 1-0 lead at the half on a Sam Tinoco bender from 20-yards out in the 42nd minute. Cardella scored in the 59th and 85th. Elizabeth 1 Westfield 0 | Boys

Elizabeth defeated Westfield to improve to (5-0-2) on the season and take over first place in the Union County Conference Watchung Division. This matchup was headlined by defense. Minutemen goalie Dylan Valencia finished the afternoon with eight saves. Valencia was also Elizabeth’s difference-maker on offense, as he converted a penalty kick goal in the 72nd minute for the game’s deciding score. JSZ’s Nery Rodriguez has the highlights:
