St. Thomas Aquinas 66 St. Joseph (Metuchen) 62 | Boys

St. Thomas Aquinas (15-1) picked up a fourth straight win with a close 66-62 victory over GMC Red Division rival St. Joseph (Metuchen)(7-4). The Trojans led St. Joe’s 30-27 at halftime and the tight back and forth battle continued up until the final moments of regulation when a late dunk from senior Terrell Pitts put the game out of reach for the Falcons. Pitts and Kamal Lee both finished with 13 points while Michael “Deuce” Jones had 16. Jeremy Clayville of St. Joe’s led all scorers with 25 points.

Caldwell 75 Irvington 51 | Boys

Ray Zamloot poured in a career-high 31 points to help the Chiefs keep their undefeated season intact. Caldwell (13-0) is one of the few remaining unbeaten teams left in the Garden State and captured another win with a great performance over Irvington (9-4) in a key SEC Liberty Division win. Rocco Checcetto also pumped in 23 points for the Chiefs in the win.

Triton 79 Highland 61 | Boys

The Mustangs opened the game on a 19-0 run and never looked back against the rival Tartans. Leo Impagliazzo led the way with 22 points for Triton (8-5). Tyshaun Baker added 19 points, while Miles Jones scored 18 points in the victory.
