Union Catholic 56 Elizabeth 50 | Boys

AJ Altobelli’s ability to dish the rock and score clutch buckets paid dividends for the Vikings as they emerged victorious from an all Top-10 UCC Watchung Division war with the reigning Group 4 state champions. Union Catholic (7-2) went back and forth with the Minutemen and orchestrated a key 8-0 run late in the second half that helped secure the win. Altobelli led the Vikings with a team-high 18 points along the way. Elizabeth (9-2) got a stellar 20-point effort from sophomore Jayden Johnson in the loss.

Lawrence 68 West Windsor-Plainsboro North 66 (2OT) | Boys

Marvin McNeill’s driving layup with two seconds left in double overtime gave the Cardinals a thrilling win on the road.  Noah Johansen led Lawrence with 21 points while McNeil and Josh Wilson added 13 points each for a Cardinals team that improved to 9-4 and are on a current four game win streak.  Malachi Jeffers-Viera had 28 and Ryan Jean-Baptiste scored 20 for WWPN who dropped their first game of the year after 11 straight wins.

CBA 60 Colts Neck 41 | Boys

Kevin Pikiell had 19 points and sparked two huge runs to give the Colts a fourth win in their last five games.  Trailing 16-6 after one quarter, Pikiell and the Colts went on a 17-2 run in the second quarter to build a 23-18 lead.  With the Colts clinging to a 43-41 lead early in the fourth quarter, Pikiell and CBA closed the game with a 17-0 run.  Lukas Sloane had 12 of his 18 points in the first quarter for the Cougars.

Eastern 55 Cherry Hill West 45 | Boys

The Vikings fended off a furious comeback attempt from the Lions to score their tenth win of the season in a great Olympic Conference battle. Sean Karbach scored ten points in the second quarter to finish with a game-high 21 points in the victory. Boston College baseball commit Logan Dawson chipped in with 11 points for Eastern (10-3). Drew Pullano hit four three-pointers on his way to a team-high 16 points, while Matthew Laskowski added 14 points in the loss for Cherry Hill West (7-4).
