Middletown South 2 Ocean Twp. 1 (OT) | Boys
Mason Petke followed his own shot on goal and delivered the golden goal in the opening minute of overtime to give the Eagles (4-1) a thriller and a second OT winner in the young season. Ocean keeper Matt Makower made an outstanding double save in the 55th minute to keep the match scoreless but Luke Strada got the Eagles on the board two minutes later with a strong right foot shot from 34 yards out. Brandon Cosentino connected on a header in the 73rd minute to set the stage for the overtime drama.

Verona 2 Nutley 1 | Boys
Down a goal at halftime, Verona roared back with two goals in two minutes to take down previously unbeaten Nutley. Joe Houck tied it in the 50th, and Asier Jendi delivered the game-winner in the 52nd as the Hillbillies claimed a 2–1 Colonial Division victory.
