Summit 10 Delbarton 8 | Kirst Cup Semifinal | Boys

The Hilltoppers would take a commanding 6-1 lead at halftime following a pair of goals from Villanova commit Lucas Stocks. Delbarton opened the third quarter with three goals to cut the lead to 6-4. Summit answered back with two scores to put the Green Wave behind 8-5 after three. Although the Hilltoppers opened the fourth quarter with a goal, three scores from Delbarton cut the lead to 9-8 with 2:45 remaining. Vermont commit Sean McCeney then netted his third goal of the afternoon in the closing minute to put the game out of reach late. Summit avenges an early regular season loss to Delbarton.

Ridgewood 10 Rumson-Fair Haven 5 | Kirst Cup Semifinal | Boys

The Maroons’ hot start and even better finish propelled them to their seventh-consecutive win while also producing a berth to the first-ever Kirst Cup final. Ridgewood (20-3) climbed out to a 3-0 lead in the first and then put Rumson-Fair Haven (21-5) away in the fourth with five an unanswered goals. Myles McCutcheon, Dewey Phillips and Jack Schultz each had multi-goal games while Maroons’ goalie Matthew Roughgarden anchored the defensive unit and shined with 11 saves. Luke Lydon buried a team-high two goals and Cole Cashion scored his 80th goal of the season in the loss.
