Gov. Livingston 12 South River 6 | Central Jersey Group 2 Quarterfinal

The No. 1 ranked team in New Jersey had a memorable day of milestones in their sectional quarterfinal win. Top-seeded Gov. Livingston (24-0) locked up its 30th-consecutive win on the same day that head coach Chris Roof won his 500th career game, coming in a back-and-forth battle against the Rams. Stetson commit Matty Diskin also locked up his 100th career hit on Thursday, too. Diskin went 2-4 with four RBI while Michael Novotny hit solo home run. Ninth-seeded South River (16-9) got a major jolt from Rutgers commit Julius Rosado – he hit a three-run home run for his 30th career homer in the loss. Gov. Livingston will host either Raritan or Cinnaminson in the sectional semifinal next week.
