Delbarton 11 Don Bosco Prep 10 | Boys
No. 2 Delbarton boys lacrosse (5-1) picked up a huge win on Thursday with an 11-10 road victory over No. 3 Don Bosco Prep (1-2). The Ironmen took an early 2-1 lead, but the Green Wave stormed back with five unanswered goals to make it 6-2 in the second quarter. Delbarton took an 8-6 lead into the half.
Don Bosco had a run in the third, scoring three straight goals to lead 9-8 midway through the quarter. The Green Wave’s Jack Sheridan and Brandon Fodor (his third in the game) then each scored late to retake the lead after three. Sheridan added his second goal to make it 11-9, but Jason Koo for Bosco answered back with 1:30 remaining. In the final seconds, Delbarton defensemen Ayden Puppe and Christian Troczynski worked together to jar the ball loose from Dash Lane’s stick to prevent a shot and seal the win.
Fodor’s three goals led the Green Wave, while Lane led the Ironmen with three of his own.
