After navigating through some early season struggles, Hunterdon Central is really starting to get into a groove. That was evidenced by the Red Devils crossing the plate 10 times in a heated divisional rivalry game against Immaculate. Joey DeChiaro went the distance with five shutout innings and Pete Ciuffreda lead the offense with three RBI’s. JSZ’s Jay Cook has the highlights from Flemington:

Red Bank Catholic 1 Manasquan 0
Sophomore Shane Panzini threw a complete game 2-hitter with 12 strikeouts and just two walks and Alex Gonzalez launched a solo homer to left to provide the only offense of the game. Manasquan starter Michael Anthony went six strong innings allowing just one run and three hits, but the Gonzalez blast was all that Panzini needed. Millville 10 Mainland 0
The Thunderbolts handed the Mustangs their first loss of the season in six innings. Millville drew four bases loaded walks en route to a seven-run first inning. Garrett Musey hit a solo home run for the Bolts, while Jake Parent added two RBIs. Connor Nurnberg threw six shutout innings to earn the win on the mound.
