Bergen Catholic 56 St. Peter’s Prep 52 (OT) | Boys |  Non-Public “A” Final

Bergen Catholic’s dynamic duo of Julius Avent and Jaden Brown shined when the lights were brightest, combining for 47 of the team’s 56 points. The future Michigan State Spartan and Fairfield Stag leave Bergen Catholic (29-3) with back-to-back Non-Public “A” titles. St. Peter’s Prep (28-4) kept it close for much of the game, fueled by strong performances from Mason Santiago and Oscar Martinez, who both recorded double-doubles, along with Richie Rosa’s 15 points. Bergen Catholic left no doubt, going undefeated against New Jersey competition as the Crusaders capped the 2025-26 season as the state’s No. 1 team.

Red Bank Catholic 62 Morris Catholic 45 | Girls | Non-Public “A” Final

Addy Nyemchek closed out her magnificent high school career with 22 points and nine rebounds becoming RBC’s all-time leading scorer and legendary head coach Joe Montano secured his 800th career win to close out a 30-2 season for New Jersey’s #1 ranked team.  Morris Catholic had a 33-32 lead in the third quarter before Sophie Smith knocked down back to back three-pointers to put the Caseys ahead setting the stage for Nyemchek to take over in the fourth quarte.  Jayah Curtis led the Crusaders with 14 points.

Gill St. Bernards 39 Holy Cross Prep 28 | Boys | Non-Public “B” Final

Gill St. Bernard’s boys basketball are state champions for the first time in program history! The No. 3-ranked Knights defeated Holy Cross Prep 39-28 in Thursday’s Non-Public B final at Rutgers University! The story of the night was how GSB *began* the night. The Knights held a 20-2 lead at the half, holding Holy Cross to 1-19 from the field over the first two quarter!

The Lancers outscored them 26-19 in the second half, but that opening buffer was enough pad to help secure the historic win. Gill St. Bernard’s was led by sophomore guard Connor Junker with 13 points and senior guard Dorsett Mulcahy with 12 points. Josh Swain was the leading scorer for HCP with 11.

Gloucester Catholic 62 Gill St. Bernard’s 39 | Girls | Non-Public “B” State Final

The Rams seized control early, then blew things open in the fourth to bring home their first state championship since 1983. St. Joe’s commit Jahzara Green led a balanced attack with a game-high 22 points and 11 rebounds in the victory. Loyola commit Talia Shumate (15), Amanda Eggers (13), and Niagra commit Jalyn Moore (10) all finished in double figures for Gloucester Catholic (26-4). St. Joe’s commit Addy Platt went for a team-high 15 points, while Kaity Platt added 13 points in the loss for Gill St. Bernard’s (22-6). This is the tenth state title for Gloucester Catholic overall.
