St. Joe’s Mont. 39 St. Peter’s Prep 21 | Non-Public A Semifinal

The Green Knights continued to be road warriors and have punched a ticket to their third-straight appearance in the Non-Public A state final. St. Joe’s Mont. (13-3) has run roughshod through the team tournament as the six seed and the Marauders were their latest victim. The Green Knights scored 30 unanswered team points from HWT to 132 pounds to pull away with a victory. Jojo Burke, Johnathon McGinty, Ryan Burton and Anthony Harris all had key pins for SJR. Second-seeded St. Peter’s Prep (16-3) opened the night with a pair of pins but could not sustain the hot start. After Joe’s clinched the match, Caedyn Ricciardi majored Adrian DeJesus at 138 pounds in a showdown of state champions. The Green Knights will face Delbarton at 2:30 on Sunday at Jersey Mikes Arena.

Middle Township 34 Lower Cape May 33 | South Jersey Group 2 Final

Max Adelizzi (190) earned a major decision in the final bout of the night to force a tie and send the SJ Group 2 final to criteria. Middle Township (20-3) earned the victory on Criteria F (no forfeits) to bring home the first sectional championship in school history. Dontae Kelly (126) earned a massive victory by decision to help turn the tide, while Maurice Matthews (285) and Connor Rowlands (144) delivers pins for Middle. Billy Whitney (132), Chase Hansen (138), and Gabe Tosto had pins in the loss for defending champion Lower Cape May (20-5). Middle Township will now face defending state champion Rumson-Fair Haven in the Group 2 state semifinals on Friday.

Brick Memorial 38 Hopewell Valley 35 | Central Jersey, Group 3 Final

Brick Memorial(13-4) went down 16-0 in the first 3 matchups, until a spark lit and the Mustangs scored 38 consecutive points. #1 190 pounder in the country Harvey Ludington and Ben Szuba (285) recorded pins less than 30 seconds into their bouts. With the win over Hopewell Valley(21-5) Brick Memorial wins their 19th sectional title, the most in Shore Conference history!
