The winter sports season has arrived and it’s finally time for high school hockey! Our 2024-25 hockey coverage kicks off tonight with a pair of games. Old Bridge 2 St. John Vianney 1 | Non-Conference

The Knights’ kicked off the new season with a bang 2024 Thursday night as they upset a preseason statewide Top 20-ranked program. Nick Gallo scored both goals, including a short-handed game-winner in the final minute of the third period, to help deliver a monster win for Old Bridge (1-0).

Thomas Lena and John Honovic scored two goals apiece to lead the Braves to an opening night win.  Nick Fanizza was the other goal scorer for Manalapan who reached the state finals a year ago.
