Camden 87 Camden Catholic 44 | Boys

The High shot the lights out in the second quarter to put the Irish away early and stay unbeaten. Kentucky commit DJ Wagner dropped a game-high 28 points for the Panthers (4-0). Billy Richmond added 19 points, while Albany commit Boog Robinson chipped in with 13 points for Camden. Luke Kennevan scored a team-high 14 points for the Irish (3-1) in the loss.

Linden 63 Union Catholic 57 | Boys

No. 19 Linden picked up a fourth straight win to begin the year following a 63-57 victory over Union Catholic. The Tigers led 33-30 at halftime and push the lead to double digits in the second half as Nas Robinson led all scorers with 24 points.

Seton Hall Prep 48 Arts 41 | Boys

A showdown of two 3-0 Essex County teams didn’t disappoint. A hot start from Ethan Maynard (13 points, 7 rebounds) and a spirited finish from Jackson Bleecker (12 points) helped propel the Pirates to a win in front of a sold out crowd. Darrius Phillips fell one point shy of his first double-double of the year, finishing with 9 point and 11 rebounds. Arts fought hard thanks to a game-high 17 point outing from Faquir Mosley.

Washington Twp. 68 Timber Creek 64 | Boys

The Minutemen survived a back-and-forth battle with the Chargers down the stretch to remain undefeated to start the season. Chris Racobaldo scored 16 points, including the go-ahead three and a pair of free throws to seal the deal late. Dan Reistle poured in a team-high 18 points in the win for Township. (4-0). Bryan Warren dropped a game-high 20 points in the loss for Timber Creek (2-2).

Saint Rose 45 Manasquan 33 | Girls

The Purple Roses opened the game with an 11-0 run and never looked back to score a big road win in this great Shore girls rivalry.  Three St. Rose players scored 10 points (Jada Lynch, Rosie Scognamiglio, and Cassidy Kruesi with Maggie Cavanaugh adding nine in a balanced scoring attack.  Saint Rose was swept last year against their crosstown rival but made an early season statement to improve to 4-0.
