Bergen Catholic 3 Gloucester Catholic 0

The Crusaders took control with a quick surge near the end of the first then leaned on some great goaltending from Kenny Johnson to grab a bounce back victory over the Rams. Johnson finished with 22 saves to pick up his first varsity shutout. Angelo Spadaccini went for a pair of goals, Braydon Kane finished with a goal and an assist, while Carter Edmonds had two assists for Bergen Catholic (2-1). Richie Geiser had 34 saves in the loss for Gloucester Catholic (1-2).

Red Bank Catholic 6 Middletown North 4

Logan Josco had a pair of goals to highlight a five goal second period outburst to give the RBC tri-op (Donovan Catholic/St. Rose/RBC) a top 20 upset.  Gio Gemellaro scored just 11 seconds in to get the Caseys on the board before the first three minutes of the second period saw teams exchange goals in a wild four score exchange.  Brady Johnson’s shot from the point gave RBC the lead for good with Robby Stanislaro and Parker Bell closing out the scoring.

Morristown-Beard 1 Randolph 1 (OT)

A sizable Mennen Division clash featuring two Top-20 statewide ranked teams ended without a winner. OHL Draft Pick Mason Hriczov led Morristown-Beard (3-0-1) with 27 saves while sophomore netminder Zack Levesque made 26 saves for Randolph (1-1-1) in the draw. Florian Gao and Bryson Findling each scored late in the third period for the only goals of this game.
