Middletown South 45 Middletown North 21

Jake Czwakiel scored three touchdowns in his final high school game, but it was his right leg that stole the show on Thanksgiving. Czwakiel booted a 45-yard field goal with time expiring in the first half to give Middletown South (5-5) a lead they would never squander. Czwakiel was named the game’s offensive MVP, Delaware commit Colin Gallagher was named defensive MVP and Donovan Summey also added in a pair of touchdowns in the win. Luke Sheehan paced Middletown North (6-5) with 223 passing yards and three touchdown passes in the loss.

Long Branch 41 Red Bank Regional 20

Earnest Reevey had two first-quarter touchdown runs and added two TD passes to close out his high school career in style and give Long Branch the win in the 100th Thanksgiving matchup between the Green Wave and RBR.  Da’Von Craft added two TD runs and reached the 1,000 yard mark on the ground in his senior season.

Hackensack 17 Teaneck 7

Hackensack defeated Teaneck 17-7 in their 89th meeting for an 11th straight Thanksgiving Day victory. After trailing 7-3 late in the second quarter, Hackensack would take a 10-7 lead at halftime following a four yard touchdown from senior running back Ayden Jones. Jones rushed for an additional touchdown to finish with 215 yards on the day and also eclipsed 2,000 rushing yards on the season becoming just the second player in school history to do so.

Millville 65 Vineland 0

Lotzeir Brooks and the Thunderbolts were all business on Turkey Day as they dropped Vineland (5-7) in the 152nd meeting in this storied rivalry. Brooks scored six total touchdowns while setting the South Jersey career records for receiving yards and receiving touchdowns in the victory. Jacob Zamot threw for five touchdowns and added a rushing touchdown for in his final game for Millville (10-2).
