The Mustangs defense held the Maroons without a first down for three quarters and used a TD run by Christian Boneparte and a TD catch by Luke Cerneri to upset the #10 team in the latest state polls. The Mustangs (5-2) hand the Maroons (6-1) their first loss of 2019. Clifton had lost 11 straight games to Ridgewood including last year’s state playoffs. The Rams (1-6) picked up its first win of the season in the latest chapter of the Overbrook-Lindenwold rivalry. Overbrook’s running game wore down the Lions (0-7) defense with junior David Land rushing for two touchdowns on the night. Senior Jonas Colan had a stellar night defensively for the Rams, racking up three sacks, a forced fumble, and a fumble recovery.
