Monroe 8 Hopewell Valley 1

No. 17 Monroe picked up a fifth straight win following a dominant 8-1 victory over Hopewell/Montgomery to improve to 11-1 on the season. The Falcons had a 2-1 advantage after the first period and quickly pushed their lead to 5-1 at the end of the second as Nick Izzo and Aiden Grinshpun each finished with two goals and three assists. The team has outscored opponents 28-5 in their last three games.

Pingry 5 Bridgewater-Raritan 1

Freddie Field had his first career hat trick and added an assist to lead Pingry to a fourth straight win.  Big Blue outshot the Panthers 26-7.  Sean Fagan scored B-R’s lone goal early in the first before Brice Crosby tied the game heading into the ice cut.  Field’s first goal off a beautiful feed from Charlie Sherman with 2:17 left in the second gave Pingry the lead for good.  After Tyler Jones made it 3-1, Field scored the final two goals of the game.
